I am a black belt in Taekwondo (WTF), and think that it would be a cool idea to organise different martial arts demonstrations around the country. any martial art is fine - karate, taekwondo, muay thai, judo, aikido, etc.

We could set up different groups of martial artists in various areas throughout the country and plan demonstrations. The purpose would be to try and introduce more people to martial arts and encourage people to get fit.

Just tell me what you think - good or bad thoughts are welcome!

URBAN EARTH: LONDON 100
100 adventures. 100 routes. 100 days. 1 year.
LONDON 100 is a mission, project and idea to inspire creativity and new thinking
about one of the world’s greatest cities. Open and ongoing for a year, anyone fit
enough will be able to join the unique 100 journeys and 50 crossings of the capitalThe purpose of LONDON 100 is to encourage mass participation and collaboration with the idea of URBAN EARTH (see the main project on this site). The walks will engage participants with their habitat in new ways, insighting curiosity and evoking important questions: who lives here and how do they view their place? What is the purpose
of this place? What do the people who live in this place stand for? Who is changing this place? What are the tensions here? What is my role in this place? How can this place be (re)presented?

Each walk will be different and bring about its own unpredictable outcomes, but the processes of walking, talking, thinking and creating may bring about artistic, therapeutic, cohesive or other benefits. Anyone who is fit enough to walk all or part of a walk will be able to join in. People who are interested in (re)presenting our urban world(s) will be particularly welcome to take part.

LARP means live action role play. I have a couple of friends who are into it. They go away for weekends to festivals that are basically little medieval battles between different factions. They all play different characters like goblins, elves, warriors and knights and stuff, it's all very lord of the rings. But it's a game.
A plot is written by the people that run the festival and this is played out throughout the weekend by the people there in their various different groups and costumes. Some of them get really into it and try and stay in character for most of the weekend. I think this is where it gets interesting.

I'd like to make some sort of documentary of one of these weekends, but follow the plot as if it were really happening, and the people involved were really the characters they were playing. Obviously I'd want to keep it loosely linked to reality, the contrast between reality and the fantasy element of what would actually be happening would be the source of the comedy which I think would be a main feature of the documentary.

I suppose it would all be in the edit, but I'd like to follow a few really good characters, watch the relationships they build up and see how the battle pans out for them.

Im basically thinking of Lord of the Rings meets The Office. It sounds ridiculous but I think it could work, and I think it would be funny and interesting.
There is a Larp event coming up next month I think, but there will always be more. Check this link out to take a look at the event I'm talking about and see if it interests you:
http://www.live-roleplaying.co.uk/

I'd be interested to hear any feedback on the idea, but really I suppose I'm looking for anyone willing to get involved and make the idea happen. People who would like to edit perhaps, camera technicians/sound technicians, anyone who'd be interested in making some music for it and so on. Please get in touch and let me know what you think.

Illuminati, Freemason, Knights Templars, whatever you want to call them are the most evil cult in the world. Here watch this if you dont believe me, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WcyXRl41RoA ,I have been doing a lot of research on them, and they are a cult which is not a conspiracy theory, they own the media such as Hollywood, Disney and many many others. The Whitehouse is run by them, and their filth corrupted England long ago (the queen is), but now they are secret about themselves and plan world domination through brainwashing the world by media and they hide among us to serve their god, the DEVIL, no joke listen to rapper Immortal Technique who spits truth about this kind of stuff as well. We should all join against them, start by watching "the Arrivals" series on youtube which slowly explains them in the most mesmerizing way because it is so revealing about modern day politics and media, to reveal those b**turds. http://www.wakeupproject.com/ ........... There is so much proof they are ones trying to corrupt the world and kill Muslims (their enemies) in a way to serve Satan, just read.... read. I know its sounds mad and you wont want to believe it, but in fact you are saving yourselves by going against this cult who may have already got to your through media

I work at the Radio SC (which stands for 'student centre') and I was thinking of collecting audio postcards from cities all over the world... as many as possible!

What's 'audio postcard'? Combination of the sounds that best decribe you city (your view of your city) - hum, noises, steps, people talking, cars paasing... anything! So if you're good at editing - that's great! You could compose a great original 'audio postcard'!

I'll update the idea a bit more...

So for now I'd really like to know what you think

I really do wander if it might be true, the things they say in the game, (play it if you haven't, its rated 9/10) - that there is gene memory such as how cats know to lick themselves because their ancestors have been doing it, so are there any possible ancestry memories in us?? if so how might mine be, I am British Asian and my roots go back to Bangladesh so it would be interesting to see my ancestor who was likely a poor villager and was most like me who made me who I am. So if I could have an "animus" I would love to see the things they did and what I borrow from them, as they would seriously contrast my lifestyle now but still represent who I am today

You see my friend is smart and muscly but the way he is brought up is that he will only show one or the other if he chooses to (lucky bugger), so in fact he is a bit lazy. Watch Baki the grappler I'm totally convinced with the story, and if the father is strong, so will the son be.

Are your a member of a slimming group? Always on a diet, but never seem to loose weight?
.
Or maybe you know someone who's always ranting on about their special new diet, whilst constantly feasting like a bulimic without a gag reflex?
.
If so, then Diet Dodgers could be for you!
.
First of all the fat person will be required to work out how many pounds they need to shed to reach their ideal body weight by calculating their Body Mass Index (BMI). Talk to your group slimming mentor!
.
Secondly, the fatty must pick a willing participant from their slimming group who is prepared to loose the exact amount of weight they cannot be bothered to loose through sensible diet & regular exercise! - The chosen person should be designated "The pie lord!"
.
Thirdly, the fatso will have to determine a duration of time that they believe would be reasonable for themselves to achieve the challenge in, then negotiate the amount of money they will agree to pay the Pie Lord for each pound lost. I suggest a £ for a LB!
.
If the Pie Lord is successful in loosing weight then they in turn could sponsor either the fatty or another member of the slimming group on the Diet Dodgers program!
.
So if you attend group slimming sessions, then why not encourage your horizontally challenged friends with this extra incentive, whilst you perpetuate your guilt and shame ridden existence!

Just how much attention are people really paying to whats going on around them in their day in day out jobs? Do You Work Here? is an idea for a Trigger Happy TV style 10 minute short film where we secretly film our actors infiltrate places of work in the appropriate uniforms, office wear or whatever is needed to blend in with other employees.

The simple idea is to see how long it takes people to notice that they don't work there, the actor blagging it as far as possible until he either makes a run for it or is escorted out.

It's a simple idea but one which will highlight just how much you can get away with, and how little attention people pay in day to day life. OR we could be proved wrong and we might get thrown out straight away everywhere, either way it'll be interesting.

The details:
Based in Manchester.
We'll need a crew - A cameraman with access to a semi decent camera such as a DVC30 or similar, to film locations from the outside.
Somebody with access to hidden cameras for the actor to wear and if possible other actors posing as customers (depending on the location)
Insiders to gain uniforms if needed.
A couple of very confident and big balled (not implying only male) actors to carry out the impersonations.

So anyone who wants to get involved, we're going to need all sorts of people on board whether you can think of locations, or have any ideas of how to help, get involved!

A short film about a man known only as THE NARRARTOR who believes the entire world is nothing more than his paranoid delusion. In order to be cured of his delusion he goes to a psychiatrist. The film will then show the story of the protagnist's life as he explains the creation of the world, how he fits into it and why he wants out!
God Complex is a quirky comedy with the positive message that life is what you make of it. As we delve into THE NARRATOR’S head the story will break film making conventions as often as it breaks the conventions of reality. Taking place in a world that resembles the set of a 1960’s sitcom more than our own, THE NARRATOR shows us his unique perspective on life. The film makes use of flashback and narration techniques but puts a unique spin on them as the main character is just as aware of them as we are. Computer effects and creative camera work will help transition between the past and present seamlessly and bring THE NARRATOR’S story to life.

The Dog House is an animated short film about the effect the death of a parent can have on a child. Beautiful 2D illustrations will be simply animated and composited in a 3D space, creating a 2.5D animation style, which will reflect the sweet and delicate nature of the young girl’s story and her attempt to understand her mother's passing. A synopsis is below

After the death of her mother, 6 year old Molly is left alone with her grief as her father struggles to deal with his. Molly draws the events surrounding her, which come to life.
The neighbour’s dog becomes her only friend and she decides to build a dog house so they can live together and escape the loneliness.
This is eventually noticed by her father who realises that she is just as alone as he is. He helps her to finish the dog house and in the process they reconnect.

My idea surrounds the concept of creating renewable energy in a seamless integration into modern life with a fun twist that benfits the health and wellbeing of the participants whilst creating energy for communities around the world.

The idea would be realised through the design of communal exercise equipment in public areas for the use of anyone who wished to participate. These machines would be fun, easy to use and low impact exercise equipment with the aesthetic of a play ground for adults - far from the serious way in which gyms currently present themselves. After all you don't have to be an elite athlete to stay active.

The best thing is that these machines don't need power for them to work, but the opposite - as you exercise, you generate power for the surrounding community that can be sold back to the grid.

This idea has a wide range of applications, from helping Developing Nations to reduce national debt to tackling rising obesity rates in the Western World. Wy pay to exercise when you can integrate it into a walk, or a picnic in the park whilst helping the environment and creating sustainable energy?

With the right funding and the backing of local council and government, this idea could be very easy to implement and sustain long term.

Modern music technology, primarily computer based, has given the bedroom musician the ability to make very high quality music without the need to utilize professional studios. Social networking sites like My Space give musicians the chance to showcase their music and try to attract fans and collaborators.

The problem is that attracting fans, collaborators and even labels to release music on is difficult as so many profiles exist and the social networking sites have been flooded with bands and basically a lot of spam. It's hard for an individual to keep updated on things like competitions or commissions that may be available to them. There are web forums but they are often hard to find useful information in. Another particular frustration of mine is finding like minded musicians that might wish to get together to perform live. For example I would love to perform some of my music with a live string quartet, but any string quartets I have approached aren't interested unless I have a lot of money to throw at them.

The idea here is to create a site, in the spirit of The Suso Project, that will give the bedroom musicians a place to host music, create podcasts, exchange ideas and advice and get together to make music. The idea is to create a platform for collaboration and showcasing that is not a record label or publisher but is owned and curated by the musicians that get involved. Potential fans, Labels and Publishers would be welcomed to listen to the music, view the collaborations or even invite commissions from the hub that could be fulfilled through group works, individual submissions or even by recommendation from one artist to another, dependent on the style and tone of any commissioned work.

There would also be an information point where artists can spread the word about competitions, submissions or requests for collaborations that may benefit other members of the site.

I'm not too sure how this would work but certainly the web space itself would need to be easy to access and update, as well as offering interactive tools for the musicians and collaborators. If there are any musicians out there who think this could be beneficial then please get in touch. Especially if you have knowledge of creating websites as I have none really. I have ideas about what features this could have but don't have a clue about how it would work so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
